The things you find around LSAD!
So today on my travels I found the skeleton of a bird, which despite it being disgusting was very beneficial and helpful toward my project! :)
Plaster moulds
After a few disasters (as shown above) I made some plaster casts to show the space that an egg takes up inside the nest which i found quite difficult. If I did it again I'd probably leave the plaster longer to solidify.
Nests around the college!
So today I went around the college placing the nests I have created in different spaces. I was influenced by the book Egg and Nest by Rosamond Purcell and how I learned that birds sometimes use human made objects for the base structure of their nests. From this, I decided to study the nests affect to the space that surrounds it and how is adapts to these structures.
From this I have decided to make a montage of images using photography. Here are a few examples

Nests
After wandering through an old abandoned factory I came across some nests in an obscure place. This interested me as I had been thinking of doing the same with the nests that I have made.

CCS project "above and under the stairs"
This is the photograph I took and edited as part of my CCS project "Up and Down the Stairs" I think this image captures the dark and dreary times people had trudging up these stairs and I had a student walk up these stairs to signify this.
Another image I took was the window and how it looked so dark and gloomy. This image had not been edited which I think shows us how dark and dreary a place this must have been at one time.
I found this project very interesting as it shows us our history as a college which we do not find many traces of while walking around the college which I personally think is a shame
